We collect information needed to operate MyExpenses, including account details such as name, email address, login method, subscription status, and application settings.

When you upload a bank statement file, we process transaction data such as dates, descriptions, amounts, categories, and report totals.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide the service, prepare expense reports, apply categorization rules, manage subscriptions, improve the product, prevent abuse, and respond to support or account requests.

3. Bank Files and Transaction Data

Bank statement data is used to create your expense report. When report history or saved rules are enabled for your account, report data, transaction overrides, and categorization rules may be stored so you can reuse them later.

4. Saved Rules

If you choose to remember a categorization rule, MyExpenses stores the transaction pattern and selected category so similar expense transactions can be categorized in future uploads.

5. Payments

Payments and subscriptions may be handled by PayPal. We do not store full payment card details. PayPal may provide subscription identifiers, payment status, and related billing information needed to manage your account.

6. Authentication

You may log in with email/password or Google OAuth if enabled. For Google login, we receive basic profile information such as your email address and display name.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers needed to operate the application, process payments, host the service, comply with law, or protect the service and users.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so you should use strong passwords and protect your account access.

9. Data Retention

We retain account, report, and rule data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records. You may request deletion of account data where applicable.

10. Your Choices

You can choose not to save categorization rules. You can also cancel paid subscriptions through the available payment flow. If you want to access, correct, or delete account information, contact us at support@myexpenses.io.

MyExpenses may use cookies or similar technologies for login sessions, security, preferences, and subscription/account functionality.
