Terms of Service

Last updated: June 6, 2026

1. Overview

MyExpenses helps small business owners prepare expense reports from bank statement files. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Not Tax, Legal, or Accounting Advice

MyExpenses is a software tool. It does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice. You are responsible for reviewing all categories, totals, and reports with your tax accountant or other qualified professional.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and use the service only for lawful purposes.

4. Bank Statement Files and Reports

You may upload CSV, QFX, OFX, or QBO bank statement files to prepare reports. You are responsible for ensuring that uploaded files are yours or that you have permission to use them. You should review exported reports before relying on them.

5. Categorization and Saved Rules

The service may automatically categorize expense transactions using keyword rules, saved rules, and manual selections. Automated categories may be wrong or incomplete. Saved rules are applied based on transaction descriptions and may affect future reports.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid features may be billed through PayPal. Subscription terms, prices, and limits are shown in the application. You are responsible for managing or canceling your subscription through the available payment flow.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not misuse the service, attempt to access another user's data, interfere with the application, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or upload malicious files.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyExpenses is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by inaccurate reports, missed tax deductions, filing mistakes, downtime, or data loss.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
